Girls Up Front's Feminist Santa Photo Booth

With our best Power Pose in place, Girls Up Front hosted a Feminist Santa photo booth at The Progress' Holiday Brunch Market on Sunday

It was so amazing  to witness kids, of all sizes, climb up the stack of presents (wrapped in our own Predator prints!) to stand tall along side Santa.  No fear of sitting on Santa's lap or getting too close.  Just the perfect height to proudly declare  their holiday request, right into Santa's ear!

Our Feminist Santa was Sarah Lacy, journalist extraordinaire who is the editor of the technology news site PandoDaily.

Santa was more concerned with whether the kids had "Resisted & Persisted'.  We all know who has been 'Naughty' (Harvey Weinstein, Louis CK, and of course, to those Grabbers--one who inspired our β€˜Cat’ Print!).  And where does being 'Nice' get you these days, anyways?

We donned coveralls that harkened back to our nation's Rosie the Riveter.  It was an homage to her strength, determination & a reminder to all of us to try new things, test one's own limits, and believe in ourselves and others--you know, like Rosie would have done.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holiday from all of us at Girls Up Front.

Don't forget--still time to fund our campaign, click here...
